I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but depending upon what’s best for you, I use a variety of other techniques. These include: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Focus Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology.

I specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship problems, marital conflict, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sexual issues as well as victims of sexual and physical abuse. Additionally, I help people cope with other emotional and psychological problems. I accept some insurance plans.

Since I’m fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, I can provide therapy in any of these languages to individuals, couples, and families. As an immigrant from Brazil, I understand firsthand cross-cultural issues so can empathize, connect with, and understand people who are having difficulties adapting to a new country.
